"Try Me" Hair Care Collection

$23.00

First we have a 1 oz. of my new Nourishing Hair Serum and Pomade This stuff rocks. It contains glycerin to protect the hair from the environment and seal moisture in where it belongs. Note..if you live in a dry climate glycerin can actually do the oppoite and suck moisture out of your hair so this doesnt work in the desert. It also contains over 50% Pure Organic Moroocon Argan Oil. This is not the deordorized non organic kind .this is the real deal. Most other Argan hair products contain teeny amounts of argan bec ause it is expensive not here You wont beleive how your hair feels after you use this

Next you get 1 oz. of my Leave in Conditioner. I made this for my daughter She has enough hair for 5 people It is curly, wild, thick and dry This helps to tone down the frizz and keep the moisture in it It also helps to condition and keep it soft and healthy Note if you are in a dry climate this does contain glycerin and it will dry out your hair and not moisturize it This is a good leave in conditioner. I find it works best on dry hair as opposed to wet It does not contain icky silicones which will build up on your hair

Ingredients:Pure aloe vera, vegetable glycerin, Essential oils of rosemary, clary sage, and lavender.

Thirdly , you will get a teabag of my Ayurvedic Hair Tea. This is enough to make an eight ounce bottle of tea. There is potassium sorbate added so that it has a shelf life as well You can add a teaspoon of baking soda if your hair is on the greasy side. This small baggie may not be enought to make the complete transformation. Moving away from shampoo is a journey I stopped using soap on my hair a couple of years ago. Why??? Your hair has a natural ph of 5 soap has a ph of 10 so every time you put shampoo on your hair you are stripping it of its natural ph. Your hair is not alive therefore it cannot correct its own ph. Then you strip it dye it curl it blow dry it Think about it how many folks have a gorgeous head of hair when they get older? How many young people do? Now mind you I am an old soapmaker. I make and use soap just on stinky places and not my face and hair I also dont dye my hair with chemicals. I use henna..which actually improves your hairs condition. I will be introducing a full henna line of many colors and a lot more hair teas as well..heck maybe even some of my soap This tea is my personal favorite I developed it after researching hair for quite some time. My husband came to me not too long ago because his hair which is quite long was starting to fall out and lose its luster. I developed this for him Within days his hair was fuller and more vibrant. Now it is back to the way it was before it started going downhillThis is not only better for you hair It is cheaper I have worked on perfecting how to present this to the public for over a year now I have finally nailed it Simply boil 10 ounces of water bring it to a boil..then steep the bag. I usually let the bag sit in the water overnight. I have added potassium sorbate to the herbal mix so that the tea will be preserved and has a longer self life .but feel free to refrigerate it as well now..two of the herbs in this bag actually cleanse the hair aritha and shikaka so leave a little room at the top to shake the bottle so you get a little sudsy action. this is not shampoo in the sudsy sense of the word you are not going to get lather and you are not going to get suds When you get into the shower thoroughly soak your hair so that it is completely saturated. Then squirt tons of the tea onto your hair and leave it there while shower remember you have enough to make 1 full gallon dont scrimp pour it on Right before you get out of the shower rinse your hair. No need to condition There are 3 other Indian herbs in the mix to help with that .Amla Bhringji and Brami. You can also leave this on a bit before you take a shower and then rinse when you get in as wellIf you have oily hair I will be coming out with more teas for all kinds of purposesIf you need a conditioner read my lisitng for Coconut Oil or use my Aloe Gel. We have everything we need on this planet to be healthy. SLS doesnt grow anywhereso go soak your head hehe its good for youP.S. refills bagsare available too

Fourth on the list is 1/2 oz. of Aloe Vera Gel. This is not your drugstore Aloe! There are no funky additives or colors in this. It is simply cold pressed aloe vera leaves, potassium sorbate ( food grade preservative), citric acid, and xanthan gum.

Aloe is great as a moisturizer, hair conditioner, shaving gel, and overall good moisturizer for face and body,. I rub it in before i get out of the shower. Aloe has miraculous healing properties too so it is great for problem skin. I keep a jar in the shower. You can also use aloe as a makeup remover

And last but not least you will also get a full 1/2 ounce of argan oil. Support Women! All Argan sold today is produced by a womens cooperative that shares the profits among the local women of the Berber tribe in Morocco..50 fl. oz.100% organic fair trade argan oil is called the new liquid gold This is great to apply to the fine lines around your eyes mouth neck wherever youd likeHere is an excerpt from Wikipedia:For centuries before modern times the Berbers (indigenous people of Morocco) of this area would collect undigested Argan pits from the waste of goats which climb the trees to eat their fruit. The pits were then ground and pressed to make the nutty oil used in cooking and cosmetics. The oil was sold in Moroccan markets even before the Phoenicians arrived yet the hardy argan tree has been slowly disappearing. Overgrazing by goats and a growing wood-hungry local population have whittled the number of surviving trees down to less than half of what it was 50 years ago.The tree is a relic of the earths Tertiary Period which ended about 1.6 million years ago and it grows in only a few other places in the world. It is tenacious withering and fruitless during extended droughts and it lives as long as 200 years. So there was alarm that the Argania spinosa as the tree is properly called was headed for extinction along with its precious goat-related oil.Unesco and people excited by the oils reputed anti-aging qualities have helped by creating a global market for the exotic oil the unlikely alliance hopes to raise awareness about the inherent value of the trees encouraging more careful grazing and stopping the local population from chopping the trees down for firewood. The people in the area are poor as they now understand the value of the tree they are protecting it.Unesco declared a 25 900-square-kilometer of land between the Atlantic and the Atlas Mountains and provided money to manage the trees preservation. Chefs and society matrons took up the cause praising the culinary qualities of the oil and its anti-aging effect on the skin. There is also a ban against grazing in the trees from May to August when the fruit ripens to a bright yellow and eventually the goats climb the trees eat the fruit and expel the pits which locals continue to collect. At the Cooperative in Tiout Berber women sit on the floor with rough rectangular stones between their knees cracking pits with rounded rocks. Each smooth pit contains one to three kernels which look like sliced almonds and are rich in oil. The kernels are then removed and gently roasted. This roasting accounts for part of the oils distinctive nutty flavor. It takes several days and about 32 kilograms of fruit - roughly one seasons produce from a single tree - to make only one liter of oil. The cosmetic oil rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids is used for massage facials and as an ingredient in anti-aging cream. The edible oil is extracted from roasted kernels. Most of the oil is bottled pure for cooking as a dressing on salads meat or fish or simply as a dip for bread. The Tiout cooperative produces about 5 000 250-milliliter bottles of the edible oil a year. 250 ml of oil sells for as much as $30 a bottle. The oil can be purchased at the Cooperative in Tiout but the neighboring city of Agadir sells the oil for a fair price as well.Supporting WomenAll argan sold today is produced by a womens cooperative that shares the profits among the local women of the Berber tribe. The cooperative has established an ecosystem reforestation project so that the supply of argan oil will not run out and the income that is currently supporting the women will not disappear. The money is providing healthcare and education to the local women and supporting the entire community as a whole.I had been using this 2 days and saw a difference. You don?t need anything else this is it completely natural. I put it on at night before bed. Here is an interesting article from the New York Times on Argan Oil:http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/11/18/travel/tmagazine/14get-sourcing-caps.html

In process...

Until now, I boiled water for the tea bag as my shampoo and I will use the Aloe conditioner pretty soon. Byt, the hair serum is amazing. It does not leave my hair oily and the leave in conditioner is a blessing for my hair. I just love it!

so many questions...

I have very fine and thin hair. It is not overly dry or greasy. And after over a month of attempting to use these products.. unfortunately, I have given up.

I understand it can take a while for your hair to adjust to a new routine like this.. but the serum and conditioner seemed to be too heavy for my hair.. and quite frankly, I haven't figured out how to wash my hair with a liquid tea.. my hair never feels clean.

I gave this an average rating, because I honestly believe the all natural face products are amazing! I use several of there other lines with success and happiness.. So its is either by user error and lack of understanding or that these are not the right products for my hair type.

The only negative would be there is not a set of instructions that came with the kit. I had no idea how to use them, and of course you can't check the internet while in the shower.. so it took me several different times reading the description to decode what I was supposed to do. So I would encourage the owners to send printed instructions with the kit.. maybe even laminated so you could keep in the bathroom.
